Yeah for the long-awaited cny entry, cant blog about it cos my comp's down. for those who dont know, i spend my cny with my maternal side relatives almost every year. i always love that place man, it's like sort of a hiatus from my life here.

chuxi: we had a simple dinner and after which we gathered around the tv. slacked until midnight before we set up the table for the offerings, incense paper stuff like that.

fireworks mode

Yeah the fireworks! aka pao4, it will change its colour as it spins. quite cool heh. you have to light it and when you see the sparks coming out right, you must throw it out quickly, quite thrilling. haha. then the thing will go 'piak piak piak' for a few seconds. even during daytime people will fang4 pao4, so you can hear the piak piak noise occasionally throughout the whole day.

this family lined up an entire string of red firecrackers from the pillar to the top of the tree. i think they are damn rich lar. and it was so LOUD when the crackers were let off, think it lasted for about a min.

Image hosting by Photobucket
we saw fireworks right outside the house! it's real fireworks lar! it lasted for about 1 to 2 mins. its' the same neighbours again. i suppose there's a wick protruding out of the tin, then you light it. one tin cost about RM120, and the people bought 3. the thing is, it is illegal to put fireworks or fire crackers, as long as it is those that will fly up into the sky, cos it's quite dangerous, the wire outside the houses may catch fire. so the first time the neighbour put the pao4, those very loud one, police came. i think they couldnt find any evidence, so they left. freaked us out, cos we were letting off the crackers, but of course the milder ones. then no sooner had the police left, than the neighbours let off the fireworks, haha. the police came again but the neighbours were quick enough to kick the fireworks tin into the drain. lol.

lots of relatives gathered at my grandparents on that day, and my twins uncles arrived on that day too. at one time there were about 20 over people in the house, so there's hardly place to sit, my cousins brought me to this garden which is slightly further away from my grandparent's place. ok lar it's not really a garden, just a green patch of land, with a slide and a broken swing. then we saw a few chickens too. but the place is very very quiet. yeah and very peaceful too.

this's one of my cousins, i dont know why but she likes me a lot. she will climb onto me while im sitting on the sofa, then she will plaster her face against mine, then whispered 'kan4 wo3, kan4 wo3!!' freaked me out. sometime she will plait my hair, other time she will kiss me on the face.

his sister, a year older than him.

chu er: chu er was quite boring, we stayed home most of the day, and relatives came to visit us instead, relatives that i didnt even seen before. my maternal side is quite big and complicated, my grandparents have 8 kids, then my grandparents have a lot of siblings too, so we ended up having lots of relatives, each and everyone of us interconnected in one way or another.

we went to this relative's house to bai nian. the house is so freaking BIG, more like a 5-star hotel with lots of chandelier. this's only one apartment, they have another one by the side, connected by a small door.

Image hosting by Photobucket
this is the first chandelier that we saw when we entered through the door.

Image hosting by Photobucket
i like the staircase's design! see the sofa, it's yellowish-gold in colour.

this's the living room, it has a high ceiling. another chandelier.

Oh yah i think after this job im going to take on some tuition classes, xinyu got one tuition assignment for me, heh heh. it's one of her colleagues' daughter. but it's freaking far, over at kallang. hmm, have to consider first.

Your house tells the world that you ought to be a leader. You are a freedom lover and a strong person. You love your house and family. You are a gifted artist as well. Once you have a problem, you need a friend with you. Your life is always full of changes. You are very tidy person. There's nothing wrong with that because you're pretty popular among friends. Your life is always full of changes.

You will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. You love excitement and create it wherever you go. You see the world as it is, not as you believe it should be.

You added a flower into your drawing. The flower signifies that you long for love. It also safe to say that others don't see you as a flirt. You don't think much about yourself.

Haha, not accurate one... you can take the test here!

Thank goodness it's finally weekend, work's been very tiring lar.

The job's quite alright, just that sometime can be quite boring, like when im checking through the files to make sure that everything is filled in correctly with the system. at first it's quite hard to understand about the policies thing, i think physics seems much easier now. then i will do the sorting of letters and match them with their respective folders, after that distribute them to the underwriters. cannot say much lar cos i have signed the confidentiality contract. anyway i told my agency that i gonna quit next month, cos i dont think i will be able to stay for 3 months. and because i need to tell them one month before hand if not i need to pay them a month's pay, so i confirmed with the agency on my second day of work that im quitting next month le. but if i like it i may stay, guess will have to see how things go in the few couple of weeks lar. i will most probably job-hop, find those jobs that only need me for a few weeks. haiz guess i shouldnt be complaining too much since i should feel lucky that my workplace is so freaking near my house and that xinyu's working near me so i got to have lunch with her. thus i was thinking that it's quite a waste to quit so fast. hmmm..

The people there dont really talk to me, i think it's alright cos it will be even more awkward if they talk to me but i dont have much to say. sian i dont like my supervisor, she looks very much like my nanhua chem teacher + preganant econs tutor. *slaps forehead* thankfully she's not the one who's guiding me. for the past 3 days 4 people have guided me and they are all quite young, at most a few years older than me lar.

Sian i wanna take a leave this week, cos i still have a lot of books havent finish reading and i havent bought enough new year clothes yet, and i wanna watch memoirs of a geisha. sian sian sian cant wait for xin nian to come quickly, then i can take a hiatus from my work!

Yeah!! my internet explorer's finally working again! the person said there's a lot of viruses. i thought he's going to re-format the whole system, so i quickly back-up all my stuff and photos until 2am last night. but he didnt in the end, waste my time.. haha..

AND!! i finally got a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gonna start work tml.. it's quite near my house, AIA alexandra. opp alexandra hospital, xinyu's workplace. we can have our lunches together! i can walk to my workplace, guess it will take about 15mins. but if i take a bus, it will be 3 stops away i think. shall see how first, i hope it wont rain tml. phew finally got a job, hopefully everything will be alright, finding jobs' tough. i found this one myself on a website yest, but via an agency. i sort of given up on recruit express. i tried 3 counsultants! one of them gave me this beer-promoting job. like WTH?!?! i was so freaking pissed. the worst part is, the person threatened me and said if i dont take up the job, then after CNY, it will very hard to find jobs le. whatever.
